I'm sure that I had dreams last night, but I was so exhausted that I don't remember any of them.
We went to Margarita's for dinner before the concert. The wait was so long that we missed the first 15 minutes of Styx, probably 2 songs.
The sounds for Styx and REO Speedwagon sucked. Def Leppard were awesome as always. There were a few things that I noticed that were odd with them. Rick Savage (bass player) has always (ALWAYS) worn a mic head set. He didn't have that on last night, first time in probably more than 20 years. The other thing that was odd to me was Rick Allen (drummer) didn't do a drum solo. Most people know that Rick Allen is a drummer who lost one of his arms. He has always done a drum solo, just weird, probably to no one else but me. I had a good time but of my missing element kept popping into my head.....
A side note: A few years ago, Rick Allen's foundation http://ravendrumfoundation.org/ had an auction of tickets to go see Metallica with Godsmack opening. We had bid on tickets and won tickets four or five rows back from the stage. We were so close that when Metallica fire displays went off it could have burned our eyebrows off. Just one of the great times we have had and seeing Def Leppard reminds me of those. Why do I do that to myself? Mainly because I did do all of these this before I met Gregg and thought I found someone who loved doing the same things that I did. Guess it wasn't as important to him that it had been for me.....
I have today off and I probably should do something besides sit in front of the computer. Guess I'll get dressed and take wingnut (Jet) for a walk.
